Island of Pag- the island of stone and sea, sea salt and medicinal mud

The island of Pag is one of the largest Adriatic islands: with its area of 285 km2 it is the fifth biggest island, and with its 270 km of the coast line, it is the island that has got the longest coast line in Adriatic, abundant with bays, inlets, capes and beaches.

The biggest bay, The bay of Pag, includes 27 km of pebble beaches, some of which abound in natural spring water. The island of Pag offers unusual forms, wild exotic, calm oases, and mountain paths that would take days to be seen.

The biggest and the oldest town on the island is the town of Pag. Its origin goes back to the year 1443, with its regular position of streets, and with the main town square, probably designed by George of Dalmatia.

The island of Pag is full of bays, coves, headlands and beaches. It is well known for a variety of sea food, sheep cheese and lamb. Its biggest specificity by which is known around the world is Pag lace. Each piece is handmade and unique. It can be found in the streets of Pag. Pag is also famous for its tested proved medicinal mud.
