General terms General Terms and Conditions for Providing Accommodation Services 1. BOOKING AND PAYMENT When booking, the customer confirms that he is familiar with the General Terms and Conditions, and that he accepts them in their entirety. When booking, the customer is required to pay an advance, depending on the payment method, while the balance must be paid directly to the host upon arrival in cash. 2. PRICE OF ACCOMMODATION The price of accommodation is given in EUR. For customers who have paid an advance for their reservation, Croatica guarantees the price of accommodation, stated in the calculation according to which the advance was paid. All involved parties accept that the Agency reserves the right of changing the rates no later than 20 days prior to the beginning of the service only if the large changes in the foreign exchange rate occurred after the reservation confirmation. Should the increase in the price of the paid reservation amount to more than 10 %, the Traveller has the right to cancel his/her reservation and is also entitled to a refund without any additional compensation.If more customers than are stated on the voucher arrive at the accommodation unit, the host has the right to deny the extra customers accommodation or to accommodate all of the customers at extra charge directly made to the host. 3. Croatica's RIGHT TO CHANGES AND CANCELLATION Croatica reserves the right to change or modify a reservation in case of circumstances caused by conditions beyond its control that cannot be predicted, avoided or rectified. Booked accommodation can be substituted only by an accommodation unit of the same or higher category and at the price confirmed during booking, provided that customer is notified ahead of time. In cases where substitute accommodation for paid accommodation is not available or guest does not except it, Croatica guarantees the refund of the complete paid amount. 4. CUSTOMER'S RIGHT TO CHANGES AND CANCELLATION Should the customer wish to change or cancel a reservation, this must be done in written form (email, mail, or fax). In the event of a cancellation or failure to appear we retain the paid amount and refunds cannot be claimed. Entire rent rate indicated in voucher is to be paid even in the cases when: - accommodation unit is used by less people than indicated in voucher - customer is late and he takes accommodation unit in rent with one or more days of delay - if the customer needs to stop the use of accommodation unit before the departure data indicated in voucher, the host is not obligated to refund him the days he will not use accommodation unit. If the customer does not arrive in apartment on the arrival date, the host is not obligated to hold accommodation unit for him anymore 5. Croatica's OBLIGATIONS It is Croatica's obligation to take care of provided services, hosts, and customers' interests and rights according to accepted customs and practices in tourism. 6. CUSTOMER'S OBLIGATIONS The customer is required: - to pay balance directly to the host in cash first day of arrival - to obey house rules in accommodation units and to have good relations with the host, - to produce the confirmation of payment (Voucher received by mail or email) upon arrival with travel documents - the customer is obligated to check whether a visa is necessary for the country where the destination is located or for neighboring countries. Should the customer not follow the above listed obligations, the customer is liable for caused damage and must cover the expenses. By confirming the reservation, the customer accepts to pay for all damages caused directly to the host. If the customer does not obey house rules in accommodation unit (esspecialy disturbing other guests or neighbours after 10 p.m.) the host has the right to stop the rent without obligation of any refundation to the customer. 7. COURT JURISDICTION The Traveller and the Agency will aim to settle possible law suits in the application of this Agreement and if an agreement cannot be reached the issue will become subject to the decision of the Dubrovnik Court jurisdiction, under the authority of the laws of the Republic of Croatia.
